Golfing in Key West offers a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t get on the courses back home. Take in the ocean views and tropical weather as you traverse the impeccable 18-hole course at the Key West Golf Club. This tight course features mangroves and water that will challenge the errant golfer. Get in early and play with the locals, or come in later for a slower game and socialize with the other visiting golfers.
Florida's southernmost state park is popular for swimming, snorkeling, fishing and picnicking, as well as U.S. military history. The fort was one of a series built in the mid-1800s to defend the nation's southeastern coastline. Guided tours of the fort are available daily. A local favorite, the beach is located at the southern end of the park.
Of the beaches in Key West, Higgs is known for being clean, clear, and shallow; which makes it a great place for snorkeling! Higgs Beach is truly unique on many fronts as it hosts the only shore-accessible underwater marine park in the United States; plus a Civil War Era Fort is located with in the Park.
Smathers Beach is the ideal Florida Keys beach for the active person. Kayak, windsurf, follow the bike paths, sail, or snorkel right off the beach. Spend the afternoon swimming around checking out some small marine life.
Not only is Key West one of the most dog friendly cities in America, it also has one of the best beaches in Florida to take your furry friend to! The sand is soft and the waves are small, so no matter the size of your dog they will enjoy frolicking on the shoreline or diving into the waves.
This is one of our favorite Key West beaches! With plenty of warm sand and pleasant picnic areas, it’s a clean place to take your family or enjoy some quiet time. It’s also located directly adjacent to Fort Zachary Taylor beach, so if you’ve had enough of one beach you can hop right over to the next!
The southernmost point contains a small white sand Key West beach with endless ocean views and a bar located right on the beach! South Beach is prime spot for swimming with small aquatic life or reading a book in the sun. Tops are optional at this beach, which makes it a great place to get a tan without those pesky tan lines.
